DESCRIPTION:Offered here is rare Navajo Third Phase Chief's blanket made from Germantown wool. This Transitional period weaving is very fine and clean and you can tell it was made as a wearing blanket, not a rug. It features the traditional classic striped designs, accented with triangular blocks indicative of a 3rd phase style. We'll say it again, this is a very finely woven wearing blanket from circa the 1890s and it is very clean as far as condition goes!
MAKER: An unknown Navajo weaver.
APPROX. AGE: Circa 1890s.
SIZE: Measures approx. 47 inches wide X 57-1/2 inches long.
CONDITION: Good for its age, some wear and fading expected. Please look closely at the pictures as they are an important part of our description and are hereby incorporated into the description, specifically with regards to condition.
