No hassle, no tools, just relaxing music that sing to the sway of the wind. PLEASE NOTE: Placement is Key to Wind Chimes, wind is absolutely required. The 1 key to performance is where you place your wind chimes. Here are a few tips that may help: 1.) Hang your chimes using the S-hook directly to a tree or other structure. Adding chain or string to hang your chimes lower can cause the entire chime to swing, you only want the center string and clapper to move. 2.) Hang your chimes where the wind can reach them from as many directions as possible. 3.) Wind strength and direction often change from day to day. Some days you may have plenty of chiming and other days you may have little or no chiming. Some days the chiming may be very loud (fortissimo) and some days the chiming may be very soft (pianissimo). That is part of the beauty of these chimes, they answer only to Mother Nature! Wind strength and direction can also change at different times of the year. Sometimes changing locations during different seasons can make all the difference in the world. 4.) If possible, experiment with hanging your chimes at different heights. Wind velocity tends to increase with higher elevation. 5.) Avoid hanging your chimes within two feet of a wall or too close to plants, furniture and anything that might obstruct or divert the breeze.
