    Description

    Genuine Navajo rug, Chinle design, by Marie Thompson, who was 82 years of age when she wove it.  All hand-spun wool, in natural sheep colors, no commercial wool here.  Measures 18 inches by 34 inches, good size to drape on the back of a sofa or chair, or lay across a table.  Very good condition, clean with no holes, moth damage or fading, from a smoke-free home. I was told by the sellers they purchased the rug directly from Marie, and they called it a "grandmother" rug - a bit lumpy here and there, a little wavy, but hey, the lady was 82!  I've had this rug since March 2000, used it as a table topper for a couple years, then put it away, but now it's time for it to find a new home, where it will be loved and appreciated.
