    Description

    This rug was purchased from a pawn shop in the Gallup/Grants area in New Mexico in the 1990s. I do not know what it’s age might be. It measures about 29” x 47”. It has a tear in one corner, (fourth photo), and the fringes on the corners are pretty much non-existent. There is some staining on one side (last couple of photos), but the other side shows just a little staining. There is a trace amount of what might be moth damage (tried to capture an example in third photo). Still, the weaving is tight and secure, a solid, heavy piece.
